    Belle Boyd House

    Belle Boyd was a confederate spy who passed information to General Stonewall Jackson during the Civil War. After the war, she became a popular actress in the town. Her childhood home is now a stop on the Civil War Discovery Trail, featuring the Boyd Mason Civil War Museum which displays artifacts relating to the civil war. The Berkeley County Museum, which details the history of the county, can also be found here.

    John Brown Wax Museum

    The John Brown Wax Museum tells the story of this prominent Civil War figure who fought to end slavery. From his childhood to his death, wax figures depict his tale of insurrection in Harpers Ferry. The museum is open from March 15 through December 15 from 9am until 5pm.
